This text is a plain-English draft written while UMBR runs on testnets. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and may change before UMBR handles real money. Questions: @umbrtrade on X.

1. The short version

UMBR sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics or advertising. The site and app keep a handful of small settings in your browser's storage so they work the way you left them. None of it is sent to us, and because all of it is strictly necessary for the features you use, we do not show a consent banner.

2. Cookies and browser storage

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser and that are sent back with each request. Local storage and session storage are similar places in your browser, but their contents stay on your device unless the site reads them and sends them somewhere. Session storage is cleared when you close the tab.

3. Everything UMBR stores

This is the complete list of keys the UMBR site and app write today:

Your browser wallet extension keeps its own data separately; that is governed by the wallet, not by us.

4. What we do not use

No analytics, session recording or heatmaps.
No advertising or social-media tracking pixels.
No cookies to identify you across visits or across sites.

5. Clearing or blocking storage

You can clear everything above at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings, or block storage for the site entirely. If you do, the site still works; it will simply forget your theme, network and dismissed notices, and the app will ask you to connect your wallet again.

6. Changes

If we ever add storage that is not strictly necessary, we will update this page first and ask for your consent before using it. See also the Privacy Policy.
